It’s true that no one could ever aspire to surpass or even match the unworldly talent that Michael Jackson possessed as a dancer; the gift he was blessed with comes along once in a lifetime, if not once in history. Assuming the role of a Michael Jackson impersonator is a huge endeavor, with big shoes to fill to say the least. But, every once in a while, someone comes along who can fill those Bass Weejuns with remarkable ease, and step out from underneath the looming shadow of that unforgettable fedora exceptionally well. LC Jackson is one of those rare people.
LC Jackson and his cast of dancers bring a fresh edge and riveting resurrection to all of the routines and choreography that are so endearing to all of us who grew up in complete awe of Michael Jackson’s innovative dance style. To watch such classics as Bad, Beat It, The Way You Make Me Feel, and of course Thriller be performed live by Legacy with such exquisite precision is nothing short of nostalgic. Watching LC Jackson take the stage, you realize from the moment he begins to dance that he is in a state of personal abandon – he becomes the music, the dance, he embodies it and lets it flow through him – just as Michael Jackson was so famous for. And what is so remarkable is that it appears to come so utterly natural to LC – never once will you see any element of his show that seems over-rehearsed or mechanical. He will captivate you with a fierceness that cannot be reckoned with - he allows this fierceness to overtake him and navigate him as he moves across the stage. LC can deliver all of the signature Michael Jackson moves astonishingly well – with the utmost grace, precision, and ease. It is striking to watch – he has truly perfected his art and his craft, and it is exquisite.
